Non-acoustic
Test with graphical representation similar to the Decay test. Test length can be either of 10 or 20 secs. Thetest is conducted without acoustic stimulation, therefore the stapedial reflex can be stimulated by a tactileor ocular contraction with light air blows. This test can be adopted to investigate subjects with PatulousEustachian Tube. To change the length of the test press F5. The test can be conducted at 0 daPa or at tymppeak (maximum mobility) performing a tympanogram by pressing F1 PEAK (Zero or Auto).
Quick tests
Three rapid execution tests can be selected from the test selection page: Quick check, Quick screening,Quick decay. All three tests include the execution of a tympanogram and subsequently tests for thedetection of the stapedial reflex performed at the pressure at which the peak has been detected duringthe tympanogram . For all tests the various execution parameters can be changed by pressing F6 > F5.In the Quick check the stimuli for the reflexes will be emitted at the intensity selected in the parameterswindow, in the Quick Screening a reflex threshold research will be carried out with successive stimulationswith increasing intensity, the Quick decay will be performed using the same method of the screening plusthe decay test. The “ Children” mode can be activated in Quick Check by pressing F5. This feature, designedfor use with children, displays a sequence of colored images on the screen that are meant to attract thechild’s attention while performing the examination. When the image sequence is running, the test will berun in background, giving the operator the necessary information.
Growth - DLI
Similar to the Decay test, once the stimulus is issued at a fixed intensity, a series of short increment stimuliat variable intensity can be sent to the subject in order to highlight a further contraction of the stapedius. All controls are similar to those seen in the previous test for reflex detection.
HF tympanometry
Similar in execution and controls to the 226 Hz Tympanometry; three separate graphic areas are available to perform three different tympanograms at different probetone frequencies: 678 Hz, 800 Hz and 10000 Hz. The three tympanograms can be run with pressuregeneration in automatic or in manual mode. For each tympanogram, at the end of the test, three curves will be displayed shown. In tympanometry with 1000 Hz tone, the CHILDREN mode is available, as described in the Quick check.

Things to Know Before you Buy
The built-in printer feature is obsolete and no longer functional
At the end of 2021, the printer was discontinued and Resonance was unable to find a comparable replacement that would fit in the unit. Rather than redesigning the r26M form factor, the built-in printer comportment remains on current units.
The unit does come packaged with free MDS software that allows data transfer from the audiometer to your PC for data management and report generation. The transferred data can be printed off from your PC. This represents the most common way providers print data from this unit. Another option for printing data from the unit is to purchase a compatible external printer that connects directly to the unit.
Three versions of the r26m are available; make the most informed decision by reading this
Three versions of the r26m include the r26m-ME, r26m, and r26m-PT. All three offer tympanometry using 226 Hz probe tone. The r26m-PT also offers additional probe tone frequencies (678, 800 and 1000 Hz). Beyond this, the three units mainly differ according to acoustic reflex/decay capabilities. The r26m-ME is limited to ipsilateral acoustic reflex testing and decay (no contra capabilities). The r26m and r26m-PT offer ipsi and contra acoustic reflex testing and decay.
This unit is essentially the same as the r36m-PT minus a few special tests/features
The r26m-PT offers the same capabilities as the r36m-PT with the exception of Eustachian Tube Function (ETF) tests. The r36m-PT offers ETF test features that come with prompts to assist the provider in instructing the patient. NOTE: it is possible to manually perform ETF tests on the r26m-PT without the special feature and something to consider when making a decision between the two models.
Technical support, calibration, and service is provided and managed through Oaktree Products
Responsive, efficient, and effective support is critical for busy providers to be able to use their equipment without delay. Equipment calibration is required annually. Equipment may need to be serviced over the years. Oaktree Products has made arrangements to coordinate and provide support, calibration and service to allow providers to focus on their clinical practice.

Resonance MDS Software & License Key:
The Resonance MDS Software is included free of charge with this Resonance unit. The software allows creation and management of a patient database on your PC and the ability to transfer patient information and test results from your Resonance unit to your PC. As a software program, a license key will be required to permanently activate the MDS software. The license key can be found within the Resonance License PDF file that resides in the MDS Suite folder on the USB thumb drive packaged with your unit. Print or refer to this file when your unit generates a prompt for MDS License Key Activation.
MDS License Key Activation:
The MDS software file resides in the MDS folder on the USB thumb drive packaged with your unit. The software is located on the USB thumb drive packaged with the unit. Go to the MDS Suite folder, click MDS Setup and follow installation instructions. Be sure to click "Create Shortcut to Desktop" when prompted to have the software icon appear on your desktop for easiest access. NOTE: MDS software will accommodate data from five patients without requiring a software license activation key. When trying to add data from the sixth patient, the following Licensure Key activation window will appear:
This means the demo version of the MDS software has expired and it will be necessary to enter the License Key associated with your specific unit. The MDS License Key is listed in the PDF file called Resonance License located within the MDS folder on the USB thumb drive that came packaged with the unit. If you are unable to find the PDF file, contact Oaktree Products with the make/model and serial number of your unit. We will make arrangements for the vendor to issue the necessary MDS License Key.
