What type of an audiometer is it?
The Measure audiometer is a Class I audiometer suited for advanced diagnostic measurements. Since it is a PC-based audiometer, it can also be easily configured for screening and simpler audiometry setups.
What are the key features of your audiometer?
The Measure audiometer is fully featured, extremely compact, light-weight, and easy to carry and set up. The REM speaker is designed to be stacked on top of the audiometer, to save further space. The Measure audiometer will feature wireless REM probes to untangle both clinics and patients, and when fully launched, also the audiometry transducers will be wireless. The system has built-in quality assessment, helping the hearing care professional in every-day measurements. Valuable data is being collected for statistics and reporting, to help hearing care professionals optimize their day-to-day work.
How does your audiometer differ from other models or brands on the market?
The Measure audiometer is one of the smallest fully-featured, diagnostic Class I audiometers on the market. With wireless REM functionality it will be a one-of-a kind audiometer. Furthermore, the measurement quality assessment functionality and data collection sets Auditdata apart from other manufacturers in the industry.
What is the frequency range of your audiometers?
The Measure audiometer is capable of measuring Pure Tone Audiometry up to 16 kHz.
Do I need special training to use the audiometer?
Auditdata offers a comprehensive e-learning suite available for customers. This material contains videos and online courses covering how to use the Measure audiometry and fitting system in the most optimal way.
How long does a typical hearing test take using your device?
An audiometry takes between 10-20 minutes, depending on how many frequencies that are tested. A REM measurement takes about 5-10 minutes for an experienced professional.
Can the audiometer be used for both adults and children?
The Measure audiometer is suitable for both adults and children that is old enough to take an audiometry test.
Can the audiometer connect to other devices or software for data management?
If configured so, the Measure audiometer connects to the Auditdata cloud and uploads vital clinical data and hardware configurations. It also interfaces with the Auditdata Manage, Practice Management Software.
How often should the audiometer be calibrated and do you offer any services?
The transducers should be calibrated regularly. How often depends on where you are in the world, but typically, regulations state one calibration every year.
Auditdata has taken calibration to the next level, and we’re offering our SWAP service. When your transducer is up for calibration, you simply contact Auditdata, and we’ll send you a calibrated replacement transducers. When you’ve received this, you return your old transducer. This means no downtime due to calibration.
Do you offer any warranty or guarantee on the product?
We offer three years warranty on our audiometers and three months warranty on our transducers.
Do your audiometers meet international or national standards?
The Measure audiometer meets all relevant standards.
How often do you release new models or software updates?
Auditdata aims to update software twice a year, to continuously be able to offer new, valuable functionality, as well as bug fixes.
Can existing audiometers be upgraded with new features?
Yes, the Auditdata audiometer is PC-based and it can be upgraded with new functionality and bug fixes via a simple software upgrade on your PC.
What is the REM probe operating time?
When released in Q1 2024, a fully charged wireless REM probe can operate uninterrupted for up to 5 hours. Standby time will be 5 days without use and charging.
What is the battery life of headset?
The lifespan of a rechargeable battery can vary depending on several factors. On average, these batteries can last between 2 to 10 years with proper care and usage. It's important to note that rechargeable batteries have a limited number of charge cycles, typically ranging from 300 to 500 cycles. A charge cycle is defined as the process of charging a battery from 0% to 100% of its capacity.
Does the battery charge status affect the test (signal strength)?
No. The signal between the Measure audiometer and fitting unit and the REM Probe is digital and not affected by battery charge level.
How will the REM Probe be charged?
When released in Q1 2024, you can charge the REM probe either on a docking station or directly via a USB-C connector.
